AFS takes the cup four years running
The annual Bendigo Bank Fun Run was held on Sunday 30 October with over 2,000 participants heading along to run or walk 5km, 10km, 15km and even the half marathon 21km!
Despite the wet conditions early, as well as the mozzie plague currently swarming Bendigo, our green and navy colours were spread throughout the crowd visible from any view with our record team numbers.
For the fourth year running, the AFS/Venture team won the Corporate Cup for the most participants in their team, with 129 members!
The event organised by the Bendigo Health Foundation raised almost $120,000 to purchase equipment for the new hospital.
A huge congratulations to the five team members who ran in the half marathon 21km! Although not an AFS team member, our valued client Fraser Walsh placed first in the half marathon followed our very own team members Nathan and Xavier Meade placing second and third!
We also had over a dozen entrants from our team in the 10km and 15km distances and over 100 team members walking and running the 5km. A great effort by all.
AFS & Venture see this event as a way to give back to the community and also promote health and well-being within our teams, congratulations to everyone who participated.
