2017-18 Federal Budget – Highlights

The Budget was handed down on Tuesday 9 May 2017. Gone is the mantra of debt and deficit. Instead the Treasurer has focused on fairness, security and opportunity; a ‘practical budget’, very much centred on issues affecting ordinary Australians.

We have summarised the key budget highlights and outlined the changes announced. From a tax perspective, some major revenue measures announced include:
