August is here and the wattle is beginning to bloom, a sure sign that spring is just around the corner.
Supporting our community
Our intro story is on our recent casual cash recipient, Bendigo Foodshare.
On the last Friday of every month our team members donate a gold coin for the privilege of wearing casual clothes. AFS proudly donates the amount raised each quarter to a local community organisation. Bendigo Foodshare is a not for profit organisation that collects food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it via charities, community organisations and schools in central Victoria. Bendigo Foodshare estimates that the funds we raised will provide up to 4,800 meals to local families.
If you’d like to help support Bendigo Foodshare, they are currently seeking donations of pasta, rice, cereal or cash. Cash donations are tax deductible. In the last couple of months we have welcomed some new faces to AFS; Eloise, Oliver, Laura and Jagger! Eloise and Jagger have joined our Business Services team while Oliver and Laura are working within the Audit team.
