AFS recently celebrated a large milestone in business.
AFS was awarded 50 years of membership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). Board member David Richardson presented the award to AFS, highlighting its loyalty and great service to the Victorian Chamber and the region’s business community.
The award is a significant milestone, with AFS being the first company in Greater Bendigo to have reached 50 years of membership with VCCI. Further to this, there is only a small number of companies Australia-wide that have reached this milestone.
“The Victorian Chamber is a strong supporter of SMEs in regional Victoria, and I am pleased that AFS has been a devoted member for the past 50 years – our longest-standing in the Bendigo region,” said David Richardson, Board Member for VCCI.
“AFS has played an integral role in Bendigo’s thriving professional services sector for many decades, so it is no surprise to see its long association with VCCI.”
AFS is honoured to receive this commendation marking 50 years of membership with the Victorian Chamber. Our long relationship is testament to VCCI’s support for regional businesses and its respected services.
AFS has been fortunate to be involved in local business summits and advocacy work that VCCI has coordinated. It has also received substantial support developing internal policies, particularly around Workplace relations/HR and maintaining up to date knowledge in these areas.
The relationships between AFS, VCCI, our local Chamber of Council, Be.Bendigo and the City of Greater Bendigo allow for Bendigo to continue to be on the political map and involved in advocacy considering regional Victoria.
“These positive partnerships will continue to see Bendigo prosper and enable key projects such as the Bendigo Airport and regional road and rail infrastructure to further develop,” said Kate Mannix, CEO at AFS.
