The Small Business Digital Adaptation Program will allow eligible businesses to trial and then receive access to digital products, tools and training to build digital capability in their day-to-day operations.

Businesses will be able to sign up for one of the six available products with a rebate of up to $1,200 to access the product for 12 months.

Software providers will give businesses access to product-specific support and training during the trial period and once the product is purchased under the rebate program. Businesses will also be able to participate in free digital workshops offered through Small Business Victoria and in face-to-face workshops once it is safe to do so.

Included in the program are the following six software products:

1. Mr Yum – Provides simple yet powerful menus for contactless QR code ordering, table ordering, pickup and delivery.
2. Square – Enables sellers to accept card payments and also provides sophisticated reporting and analytics tools.
3. Shopify – A commerce platform that allows anyone to easily sell online, at a retail location, and everywhere in between.
4. Squarespace – An all-in-one platform that helps business owners to claim a domain, build a website, sell online, and market a brand.
5. MYOB – An online accounting software that helps small business with invoicing, expense tracking and payroll.
6. Xero – A cloud-based accounting software platform for small businesses.

Additional product suppliers are expected to be added to this list in December 2020. We will update this page as announced.

Eligibility

The program is available for small businesses, sole trader, and micro businesses across all industry sectors. To be eligible for the program an applicant must:

• operate a business located in Victoria
• hold an Australian Business Number (ABN)
• have held that ABN on 13 September 2019
• be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 13 September 2020.

Not-for-profit entities that are not registered for GST and are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission are eligible to apply.
